AVLEX NOW SHIPPING SUPERLUX E531/BCS M/S
STEREO FIELD RECORDING MICROPHONE
Kansas City, MO – June 2007 … Avlex
Corporation, the name audio professionals turn to for world-class
wireless technology, audio recording equipment, and related products,
is pleased to introduce the Superlux E531/BCS M/S Stereo Field Recording
Microphone. Featuring a mid-side configuration, battery powered
operation for use anywhere, and a 3.5 mm stereo mini plug that facilitates
integration with a wide range of products, this versatile electret-condenser
microphone makes the ideal recording tool for capturing orchestras,
choirs, and numerous additional stage or outdoor venues with natural
spatial impact and stunning realism.
As a mid-side configured microphone, the new E531/BCS provides
a cardioid polar pattern for its mid section and a figure 8 polar
pattern for the side. As part of this arrangement, this versatile
recording tool offers the recording engineer two coverage patterns
at the flip of a switch: 90 degrees and 120 degrees. When recording
solo instruments or dialog, the microphone’s 90-degree pattern
makes an excellent choice, while the 120-degree pattern is ideal
for larger groups such as instrumental ensembles and choirs due
to the expanded coverage it provides.
With its compact form factor, lightweight body, and 3.5 mm stereo
mini plug, the new Superlux E531/BCS is well suited for use with
portable digital recording equipment such as DAT, hard disk, MiniDisc,
or flash memory recorders—making this a go anywhere tool for
a myriad of professional stereo applications. Since the E531/BCS
is powered by a single 1.5 Volt AA battery that is capable of providing
upwards of 200 hours of use, this microphone is optimized for field
recording applications, and to ensure maximum battery life, the
unit provides an On/Off switch to help users maintain the battery
when the unit is not in service.
With a frequency response of 100 Hz – 15 kHz, the new Superlux
E531/BCS makes a great choice for those seeking a cost-effective
microphone that delivers clear, natural sound and true-to-life stereo
imaging. Supplied accessories include a microphone stand clip that
supports both 3/8-inch and 5/8-inch threads plus a foam windscreen
to reduce plosives or wind noise.
Jack Nead, national sales manager for Avlex Corporation (exclusive
US distributor of Superlux products), commented on the new Superlux
E531/BCS M/S Stereo Field Recording Microphone, “The new Superlux
E531/BCS is a remarkably capable microphone that is well within
the reach of recording enthusiasts and professionals alike. With
a rich feature set that includes dual coverage patterns, I believe
customers will find much to like with this exceptional microphone.”
The new Superlux E531/BCS M/S Stereo Field Recording Microphone
carries a MSRP of $49. The microphone is available now.
