Kansas City, MO – December 2007 … T.j Evans is one busy musician. With a schedule that keeps him on the road with two bands, an ongoing series of clinics/seminars at music retailers nationwide, plus the countless hours spent in the studio with an assortment of creative projects, this guitarist/vocalist/composer/producer places some pretty tough performance demands on his equipment. According to T.j, “Both bands consist of the same members, but we focus on two distinctly different music styles and, hence, there are different audiences for each. MeriTaje performs my material and consists of members Stephen Dees, Patricia Dees, Alberto Cruz, Roger Zimish, and myself, while the Bandees material is written by Stephen and Patricia Dees and includes Alberto and myself and Alberto when performing.” Both bands endorse MIPRO, Superlux, and Avlex products. Additionally, T.j is also the executive producer and host for The Player’s Corner, a satellite/cable TV and Internet interview/performance series featuring some of the best-known guitarists and acts in the world.

Whether he’s performing with the bands, in the studio, or demonstrating during clinics, T.j relies extensively on his MIPRO ACT-707D dual channel wireless receiver coupled with the MIPRO ACT-707TM body pack transmitter. Alternating between two headset microphone systems, the Avlex HS-09 and MIPRO MU55-HNX, T.j simultaneously uses the ACT-707TM transmitter for his guitars. “I use one system for both vocals and guitar,” notes T.j. “I love this setup. MIPRO’s ACT (Automatic Channel Targeting) function is terrific. Even in a place like Chicago, which is about as dense an RF jungle as you’re likely to encounter, I experienced no difficulties whatsoever.”

Enabling him to hear clearly during performances, T.j also swears by his MIPRO MI-808 wireless in-ear monitoring system. Frequency-agile over a 24 MHz bandwidth with 16 selectable pre-programmed, non-interference frequencies, the MI-808 receiver utilizes advanced dual-antenna true diversity technology that eliminates signal dropouts and enhances signal stability.
